MCDS Costa Rica 2014

Day 1 --- Arrive & Travel to Arenal (Arenal Hotel)

Rio Celeste

Today you will be met outside the airport by your CRR driver and guide. We will make the drive to the area of the Arenal Volcano. Here we will be staying in a hotel with views of the volcano. (Meals: Dinner)

Day 2 --- Hike to Rio Celeste (Arenal Hotel)

This is one of the more unique spots you will find in all of Costa Rica. We will drive north for around 50 minutes to a National Park that will have you feeling like the entire place is something off Hollywood. We will hike along a river, visit natural hot springs, and arrive at an amazing waterfall. The river is called Rio Celeste and offers a neon sky blue look to it because of the minerals that are mixed from the nearby volcano of Rincon de la Vieja. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Pacuare River

Day 3 --- Canyoneering Adventure & Drive to River Lodge (CRR Lodge)

Today is a fun day with a different adventure that is becoming a popular sport in Costa Rica. Canyoneering will have us gearing up and rappeling down 4 different watefalls in a tropical canyon. This is an adventure for everyone and a chance to be immersed in the jungle for a few hours and enjoy the adrenaline thrill of rappeling down different waterfalls. The system is set up to make it easy enough for first timers to enjoy themselves. 

After the canyoneering adventure we will make the drive to the CRR River lodge which we like to boast as having the best views on the entire river. We will let you be the judges of this! (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 4 --- Raft Pacuare (Almonds & Corals)

Almonds & Corals

Today is our day of rafting as we make our way down the Pacuare River with a chance to enjoy one of the worlds most scenic rivers according to National Geographic. This is a great day that will have us ending on the white sandy beaches of the Caribbean.

Our final destination will be the Almonds & Corals Ecolodge which is a luxurious Ecolodge sitting on the edge of the ocean in the Southern Caribbean. This is your perfect mix of luxury and jungle. (Meals:Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 5 --- Nature Hike & Beach Day (Almonds & Corals)

Today is a beach day and we can have it open for an great nature hike with a chance to see a lot of animals on a trail that opens up to expansive views of the coastline. Another option would be surf classes on the beach or we can do a snorkeling trip in the National Park of Cahuita. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 6 --- Fly Home!

Today we will make the drive back to the airport. (Meals: Breakfast)
