Little less Snow here...
Day 2 -- Drive to Central Pacific (Cuna del Angel)

We want everyone well rested so we do not plan on leaving too early. We will get a reasonable start after a healthy breakfast and your first experience of the excellent tasting gallo pinto which is the famous breakfast dish of Costa Rica. It is a rice and beans with cilantros and quite the tasty dish to go along with some of the worlds best coffee.

After breakfast we will make our way east to the pacific coast where we will then head south to the area of Dominical. If you would like to get an early start we can make a stop at the Manuel Antonio National Park and see some wildlife but this depends on how you feel after your long day of travel.
Sleeping behind Waterfall

We will arrive to the Cuna del Angel hotel which is a great location for the many different adventure activities we plan on doing in the area. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 3 -- Surf Classes (Cuna del Angel)

Today it is off to the waves! You will have the day to explore and enjoy the different beaches of the area. We will have a board set up for everyone and classes which will give you the do's and don'ts of surfing and the rest of the day to just enjoy the water.

We can also explore some local areas where we can show you some great hidden fresh waterfalls to relax and enjoy. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 4 -- Enter Waterfall Cavern (Sleep Behind Waterfall)

Today is a day full of adventure from start to finish. We will start with one of the most scenic hikes we can offer in all of Costa Rica. Here you will get breath-taking views of the entire pacific coast line and then make your way to the land of waterfalls that is one of the most unique places you will find. This does not come at an easy price. It is about a 1 1/2 hour hike of stairs to make our way to the area where we will be spending the night. Don't worry because at the half way point we have an organic garden where you will be able to enjoy some of the finest tasting tropical fruits and learn a great deal about them also. It is not roughing it by any means as we have beds, linens, all your food is prepared and served to your as you are treated with first class service during your stay in the cavern.

Rappeling Waterfalls
When we arrive to the cavern your first task will be to rappel a 120ft waterfall. This is no problem for first time rappelers and we often take small children on this adventure. After the rappel we will enjoy lunch in the cavern while surrounded by 3 different waterfalls. After lunch we will have the chance to take another short hike to the top of the Diamante Watefall which is a 600ft waterfall that offers astonishing sunset views over the Pacific. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 5 -- Hike to Pools, Leave Waterfall Cavern, & Drive to Turrialba (Casa Turire)

Today is another full day. After breakfast we will make our way to the upper pools where everyone can enjoy jumping off a 8 meter waterfall into a remarkable pool where the morning can be spent swimming and jumping. After some time spent in the pools we will make our way back to the cavern to get lunch and then hike out. Our hike out needless to say only takes 40 minutes because we will be hiking down.

Duckie Adventure
Once we arrive back to the transportation we will make an incredibly scenic drive to our next stop. We will be driving over the central mountain range of the country. Costa Rica measures around 80km wide and we will be able to see both coast from the road we are on and rise to almost 3200mts in elevation.

Our final destination will be the Casa Turire Hotel which sits on a lake and has phenomenal views of the smoking Turrialba volcano. (Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 6 -- River Duckies & Dinner at Doña Fressy's House (Casa Turire)

Today is a fun day getting into the river and experiencing a different kind of watersport. We will be giving a two man raft to everyone in the group. These small rafts we call duckies and you will have the chance to steer your own duckie through small class I & II rapids. This is a great day on the rive and a chance to get you ready for 2 more days of some of the best rafting in the world!

In the afternoon we are going to take you to experience what we consider the best part of Costa Rica and that is time with the locals. We will be going to dinner at Doña Fressy's house who is the mother of two of our guides. She will prepare the best meal you can imagine and we will learn about the rural life of Costa Rica. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 7 -- Enter Pacuare (Pacuare Camp)

Pacuare River
Today we will enjoy breakfast at the hotel of Casa Turire and then leave for the Pacuare River. The Pacuare river is considered by National Geographic as one of the top 3 most scenic rivers on the planet. It is filled with beautiful virgin tropical rainforest, cañon walls that strectch hundreds of feet high, and some adventurous rapids. Because of the time of year you are planning on traveling in January the river is very low and our small private operation we take kids on the Pacuare River which allows us to offer extra attention and safety first at all cost. Our first day is just class II & III and then we camp for the night but again it is not roughing it. It is our privately owned camp ground which you will have to yourself and it is not roughing it by any means with private bathrooms, dining area, relax area, and beautiful cots with views of the river.

On this first day we will have hikes to waterfalls and prepare a delicious lunch for your on the side of the river before arriving to our camp. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Arenal Volcano
Day 8 -- Leave Pacuare & Drive to Arenal Volcano (Manoa Resort or Tabacon Resort)

This is the second day of rafting which will be the most scenic part of the river and some fun rapids for everyone to stay wet from start to finish. If for whatever reason we feel the river should not be run with little ones on this day because of the waterlevel we have the options to transport out by land. This usually is never the case for the January season as it is the start of the dry season.

After we take out of the river we will make our way to the Arenal Volcano. Here you will be situated infront of one of the most scenic and visited volcanoes on the planet. We have the option of two different hotels. If you want to finish the trip high end we can put you in a number of 5-Star hotels in the area one being Tabacon Resort and Spa. If you want to stay in a very nice place, great views, and all the amenities of a 4-Star hotel then Manoa is a great option. (Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)

Welcome to Costa Rica
Day 9 -- Zipline & Danaus (Manoa Resort or Tabacon Resort)

Costa Rica is known for its zipline and we plan on taking you on the best in the country. With cables that hang 700ft above the rainforest floor here you will have the chance to experience a super adrenaline rush and see some fabulous scenery as these cables run alongside the Arenal Volcano.

After the zipline it is over to see some of our favorite friends of Costa Rica at the Danaus Reserve. Here your naturalist guide is going to share with you the many wonders of the natural world in the tropical rainforest and just how important it is for the rest of life on Earth. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 10 -- Fly Home!

Today we will transport you to the San Jose Airport where you will start your journey home!!!
